About me
My name is Alea (Altea, minus the T!) and I have an ever-growing passion for holistic health and well-being, which drew me to pursue my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training while completing my Bachelor’s in health sciences. It was there that I really developed a connection with the abundance of treasures the tradition of yoga has to offer. My excitement about yoga and the mind-body-spirit connection as a pathway back to health have led me towards further education, and I am currently training to become an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. Off the mat, you’ll find me studying, hiking, running, learning to play the banjo, and spending time with loved ones!
Teaching Philosophy
My approach to teaching is light-hearted and welcoming. I believe that the gifts of yoga are available to anyone who is open to them. I enjoy blending my training in Hatha, Yin, and Pilates to guide you through a balanced practice of activation and surrender (and maybe a bit of fun). It’s my privilege to learn from students, and to be a part of their journey on the path to connection.
