Lost and Found

Items that are returned to the level 2 front desk can be identified and claimed in person during Guest Service Hours 8am-8pm daily. 

Can I transfer my membership?

All memberships except for Platinum Flex have transfer privileges.

The stipulations surrounding a transfer are as follows:

  • Eligible members may only transfer their membership within their initial contract term.
  • Both the transferor and transferee must be present at the club to complete the membership transfer.
  • Members must pay a transfer fee, that may change at the sole discretion of Altea Active. Currently there are two options available for eligible members:
    1. Transfer Option 1:   Fee: $99.95 + tax.  New member joins at the current membership rate and receives the term remaining on the agreement.
    2. Transfer Option 2:  Fee: $249.95 + tax.  New member joins at the previous member’s membership rate and receives the term remaining on the agreement.

Am I able to freeze my membership?

Platinum, Platinum Flex, Diamond and Diamond Flex memberships have 6 biweekly holds annually per Contract Start Date. To request a membership freeze, please complete a Membership Freeze Request through the MyAlteaActive App.

Guest Service Hours: 8am-8pm daily, our Member Service Team is available to assist.

Can Guests Attend Studio Fitness Classes?

Guests can join a class on a walk-in basis (if there is availability in the class).

Do you offer bike and/or scooter parking?

Yes. There is a bike room located on P1 with 80 stalls available for Altea Active members and guests of Catalyst Kitchen & Cocktails. The room is located immediately outside of the south entry door to the main bank of elevators. Altea Active or Catalyst Kitchen & Cocktails are not responsible for you or personal belongings.

Will there be other locations in Toronto?

Altea Active is planning to expand within Ontario and across Canada!

Can I just get a membership for only the pool?

All of our memberships include access to the pool; however, we do not offer a membership for only the pool. If you would like to learn more about our membership options, please book a tour. 

What type of shampoo, body wash & lotion are available for members?

We are thrilled to offer our members Aveda personal care products.

Can my friend or family member come for a class with me? Is there an age limitation?

Yes, as long as they are over 12 years old AND a current member or visitor with a valid Guest Pass. Please note that guests are limited to walk-in availability for classes.

Does Altea Active cater to all fitness levels & age groups?

Yes, all classes provide progressions and modifications. We use acronyms for levels: E=Everyone, I=Intermediate, A=Advanced to help you choose the right level for your workout.

Do I need to have a valid certification to teach at Altea?

Yes, all Altea instructors are required to hold valid certifications in the discipline they teach.

Personal Training

What should I bring to each session?

Bring gym clothes that allow you to move freely. Training shoes are more appropriate than running shoes for lifting weights. A water bottle is recommended. Cell phones are allowed but should not we worn on the body while exercising.

Do personal training sessions expire?

Yes. Personal training sessions expire after one year.

How hard will I work during each session?

Your personal trainer will collaborate with you to determine your levels of perceived exertion. They will use the information you provide to ensure you are working hard enough to see results, but NOT in excess of what is safe or appropriate.

Will my training package renew automatically?

No. Your personal trainer will present renewal options near the end of your current package.

Can I cancel my training package at any time?

No. Training packages can not be cancelled outside of your rights under the Consumer Rights Protection Act. Sessions can be sold or gifted to other Altea members.

How many times a week should I see a trainer?

Three sessions per week is optimal for seeing results, while two sessions per week can be effective if the client also completes workouts on their own.

What if I need to cancel a session? How far in advance do I need to notify you so that I don’t get charged?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Personal training sessions cancelled within 24 hours will be charged.

How do I find the right personal trainer for me?

How much does a personal trainer cost?

This depends on Level of Personal Trainer, length of package, type of training, etc. They can range from around $80 to $115 per hour. For more info, please email totraining@alteaactive.com.

Does Altea Active offer personal training?

Absolutely! We offer 1-on-1 personal training and small group training programs. Our dedicated personal trainers are ready to work alongside you to motivate, educate and inspire results. Catalyst & Entertainment

Do you show sports games in the restaurant?

Yes! We have a giant screen in the restaurant and 5 more in our Urban Playground for all your Blue Jays, Leafs, and Raptors games!

How can I make reservations for Catalyst?

We welcome guests to walk in or for larger group bookings, please email us at Events.TorontoLiberty@alteaactive.com.

Can I bring a guest who is not a member of Altea?

The guest will have to purchase a day pass at the front desk. If you spend $60 in Catalyst, the guest pass fee will be reimbursed on our bill. Guest day passes are available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Can I bring outside food into the restaurant?

You can bring food purchased from our Starbucks and/or Smoothie Bar. All others are not allowed.

What hours are the Urban Playground and Top Golf available?

The Urban Playground & Topgolf are open 6am-11pm.

How to do purchase game cards for the Pool tables, Air hockey and Pinball?

There is a kiosk located in our Urban Playground to purchase/reload cards at any time.

Can we order food and drinks while bowling or in Top Golf?

If the reservation is during Catalyst operating hours, you can order!

How many guests are allowed per golf suite and/or bowling lane?

There is a maximum of 6 guests per lane/golf suite.

How do I book a bowling lane or Top Golf?

LF3

I’m a current member and looking for more information about upgrading to Diamond, how do I get more info?

How can I track my progress?

Diamond members receive a 30 minute follow up Rx session every 4 weeks to continue to track their progress.

Will I share equipment?

No, we have 15 individual Pods fully equipped with everything you will need for your session.

I am not a Diamond member, can I still come to a session?

Certainly, you can use the MyAlteaActive App to book or simply speak to any of our Customer Service Associates about booking an LF3 session.

How far in advance can I book LF3 Sessions?

LF3 sessions can be booked 72 Hours in advance.

What is the capacity of the LF3 Studio?

LF3 classes are limited to 15 participants. Everyone will receive their own station and focused attention from the LF3 Coach

Are small group training classes worth it?

Yes, small group training classes can be worth it for many people looking to improve their physical fitness and achieve their goals. Here are some reasons why:

Personalized attention: With smaller class sizes, trainers can provide more individualized attention and instruction, helping participants to improve their form and technique.

LF3 stands for: Lifestyle Fitness based on 3 Core Pillars:

Each LF3 class incorporates a mixture of cardiovascular and resistance training that is never repeated twice. We’re all about keeping it new and exciting to keep you, and your body, on its toes. Our engaging staff and sense of camaraderie you’ll build with other members will keep you wanting to come back to LF3, again and again. Heads up! You won’t see machines in our studios. Our workouts are based on realistic movements inspired by everyday life. Learn to enjoy movement and enhance your overall quality of life.

Active Kids Club

What is the policy for sickness?

If your child is unwell, please keep them at home. Participation in the Active Kids Club may be denied, if:

  • Your child has visible rashes
  • Open wounds or sores
  • Signs of fever
  • Unable to participate in activities due to illness

Do you allow nuts?

No, the AKC is a nut-free space.

Will you feed my child?

Yes we can certainly feed bottles and snacks you provide.

Is there a bathroom in the AKC?

Yes, we have a spacious bathroom with a change table in the AKC.

Do you change diapers?

No, AKC team members do not change diapers. If your child requires a change, we will give you a call.

Do you have a maximum number of kids you can take at once?

Yes, we have set ratios that we must adhere to for safety and experience.

Do I have to book an appointment for the Active Kids Club?

It is highly recommended to book an appointment to avoid disappointment if the AKC is fully booked.

How long can my child stay in the AKC?

AKC time slots are 2 hours in length.

How far in advance can I book a spot in Active Kids Club?

Booking opens 2 days in advance.

Do I have to stay in the building when my child is in the Active Kids Club?

Yes, guardians must stay in the building during their child’s visit at the Active Kids Club.
