General Inquiries

I want to purchase a guest day pass; how do I do that?

Guest Passes are available at reception at a per-day cost of $49.95 (without a member) & $39.95 (with a member). Guests will have in/out privileges throughout the same calendar day. Guests can book into one studio class within a 4-hour window. Recovery services are available for guests at an additional cost.

What weight will the Dumbbells go up to?

Up to 120lbs

What is the capacity of the Dry Saunas & Steam Cabins?

They vary a little, but each has capacity for roughly 8-10 people

Is parking available for members of Altea?

Yes, 2-hour complimentary underground parking will be available to members of Altea.  Please note that Altea has a total of 144 designated parking stalls available. Stall numbers included in the complimentary parking are: 30-158 and 167-177.

Can members of Altea Active access other Altea Active clubs?

Gold Memberships allow members to access their Home Club location only.  Should a Gold member wish to visit another Altea location, they will receive a 50% discount on that club’s member guest pass rate. 

Platinum and Diamond level memberships permit a member to access their Home Club and all other Altea club locations. 70% of visits (club check-ins and reservations) must be at the member’s Home Club Location in any rolling 30-day period. Your first visit must be at your Home Club location. Visits that exceed this threshold will trigger a membership home location transfer. All-Club Access is defined as access to all Altea Club Locations (AVANT by Altea locations are excluded). Membership benefits are specific to your home club and access may vary across other locations.  

Will there be other locations in Vancouver?

Does Altea have influencer/ambassador partnerships?

What type of shampoo/body wash are available for members?

Altea is excited to partner with Aveda for all personal care products.

Do you offer Olympic lifting platforms/squat racks?

Yes, Altea: West 6 features 8 squat racks with 10 Olympic lifting platforms.

What spa amenities do you have?

You’ll love spending your recovery days with us! Altea offers luxurious steam cabins and dry saunas in each changeroom. We also have a Zen Lounge with a Himalayan Salt Wall feature and a Recovery Lounge with Cryolounge+ and Massage chairs, as well as compression and vibration therapies. Not to mention the Catalyst Café + Wine Bar, where you can kick back with friends and family or enjoy some quiet time on your own.

What are the hours of operation?

Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on weekends from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Active Kids Club

Is the Active Kids Club considered a daycare?

We are not considered a daycare. The Active Kids Club is a child-minding service: We provide up to two hours of care while you, the parent, are engaged in activities at the club and can be immediately accessible to attend to your child’s needs! Our team members are exceptional with children, and we maintain the following ratios to ensure your child can be safely cared for at all times:

  • 1 team member to 4 children (aged 0 -2 years old)
  • 1 team member to 8 children (aged 2 – 11 years old)

Do you have to be an Altea member to use the Active Kids Club?

It depends! The Active Kids Club Memberships are reserved members-only. However, drop-ins may be available for Guests on a Day Pass, subject to availability.

Do you have drop-in options for the Active Kids Club?

Yes! As a member, you may use the Active Kids Club on a one-off basis for $20 + tax. Please note that booking priority is given to those with Active Kids Club Memberships, so drop-ins will be subject to availability. Diamond members will also receive 25% off the Active Kids Club drop-in rates.

What is the cost of an Active Kids Club membership?

Purchase a membership for your child!

Infants (10-23 months): $69.95 Biweekly + Tax

Big Kids (2-11 years): $59.95 Biweekly + Tax

How long can my child stay in the Active Kids Club?

Each child can stay up to two hours per day at the Active Kids Club! Booking is done through our platform at MyAltea.Club.

Do I have to stay in the building when my child is in the Active Kids Club?

Yes, guardians must stay in the building during their child’s visit at the Active Kids Club.

What are the hour of operation for the Active Kids Club?

Active Kids Club is open Weekdays from 8am-8pm and Weekends from 8am-1pm

What ages do you accomodate in the Active Kids Club?

Our Active Kids Club team welcomes Junior Members and Guests from 10 months to 11 years of age.

Is there supervised childcare in the Active Kids Club?

Yes! Finding time for self-improvement can be challenging when you have little ones, but it’s so important. We’ve invested in a supervised children’s activity centre available to you when you’re using the facility. The Active Kids Club has a quiet room, a play zone, an arts and craft area, and so much more! Your kids will love spending time here.

What are the most popular group fitness classes?

The most popular fitness classes can vary by person. Here are some examples of fitness classes that are popular at Altea:

Generally, we recommend 2-5 classes per week.

Are indoor cycle classes hard?

If you are new to group cycle classes, try sitting close to the instructor, letting them know you are a beginner and go at your own pace.

How long are indoor cycle classes?

Classes are 50 minutes. This includes warm-up and cool-down time.

Are indoor cycle classes good for you?

Indoor cycle classes can be a great way to improve overall health and fitness. Indoor cycling is a great low-impact group exercise option for all experience levels.

Are indoor cycle classes worth it?

If you are looking for a fun, motivational way to improve your cardiovascular health, stamina and body composition, indoor cycle classes are a great option!

Do I need cycling shoes for Cycle classes?

Altea has a complimentary shoe program. Shoes are provided for all Cycle classes. If you prefer to use your own, the ones needed for the bikes at Altea use SPD – SL.

What are indoor cycle classes?

Indoor cycle classes, also known as spinning classes, are boutique fitness classes that take place on stationary bicycles. The classes are led by a certified instructors who motivate participants through a series of cycling exercises and drills set to lively music.

Hot Yoga

How many calories do you burn in a hot yoga class?

Is it bad to do hot yoga every day?

What is the difference between hot yoga and regular yoga?

Hot yoga classes at Altea Active take place in a studio with a temperature of 105 degrees (40 degrees Celsius) and 40% humidity. Regular yoga classes take place in our Fusion studio, which is at room temperature. Hot yoga classes are generally more intense, due to the heat and humidity. It’s important to drink plenty of water in hot yoga classes to stay hydrated.

Our engaging staff and sense of camaraderie you’ll build with other members will keep you wanting to come back to LF3, again and again. Heads up! You won’t see machines in our studios. Our workouts are based on realistic movements inspired by everyday life. Learn to enjoy movement and enhance your overall quality of life.

What is LF3?

LF3 stands for Lifestyle Fitness based on three core pillars (Be Strong, Be Healthy, Be Resilient). LF3 is Altea’s small group training and digital fitness solution. Altea wants to make sure that every member has the ability to access quality fitness professionals and science based workout programming anytime, anywhere in all of their membership offerings. Our Diamond membership is the only membership that includes unlimited LF3 small group training sessions, in person.
